We want to carry the Gospel to as many shooting events as possible, especially those involving police agencies.  A large part of what the Lord has laid on my heart is the fact that there are very few ministries for the men and women who carry a gun and a badge.  There are ministries for the prisons, homeless, alcoholics, drug addicts and various other groups in need of the Lord's Word, but no one wants to talk to an officer unless they need help.  I know from experience that we are hard to talk to, because we think we can handle any situation.  I am not knocking the other ministries, as everyone needs the Good News.  The Lord knew when he led me to start this ministry that this is where I could be the most effective at delivering His Message.

The level of stress and temptation facing officers today, no matter what agency they work for, is staggering.  They are under constant fire, not just from the bad guys, but also their bosses, defense attorneys, prosecutors, media and various "civic watchdog groups".  The average officer in today's world has to deal with more problems in one shift than Wyatt Earp or Bat Masterson did in a year in the old west.  It is no wonder that officers have some of the highest rates of divorce, suicide, alcohol abuse and job burnout.  The average officer only lives about 5 years after retirement.  1 John 5:11-13 says "And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.  He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.  These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."
