Welcome to the Christians and Colts (Defenders of the Faith) Ministry.

My name is Paul Sanders, but this ministry is not about me.  It is all about Him.  After growing up in various denominations including Methodist, Presbyterian, Lutheran, and Episcopalian, I started to stray away from my religious background when I left home to attend college.  I did not just stray - I was a one-man stampede headed straight to hell.  In all those years the Good Lord never gave up on me.  He saved me countless times from others and from myself along the way.  It would take a book to give my testimony in Him.  I carried a gun and a badge most of my life, but that never kept me from sinning.  I retired from the U.S. Border Patrol in 1995 after 24 years.  Along the way I was on the Border Patrol National Pistol Team for 5 years shooting police combat.  I have also been a competitor in big bore rifle, SWAT team, silhouette rifle and pistol, The Masters and The International Police Olympics.  I was also a firearms instructor most of my career.  I was a member of the President's 100 three times and the Governor's 20 in two states and I am also a patron member of the NRA.  Along the way I have had to shoot a few varmints both two and four legged.  I did all those things and never gave the Lord credit.

After meeting and marrying my present wife, who is the best thing that ever happened to me next to being born again, I now realize that the Good Lord had a plan.  He carried me through some mighty tough spots so I could start this ministry.  I pray that I might, with His help, reach out to you and give you the Good News.  There is no situation that is so desperate that if you ask the Lord's help it can't be resolved.  If you will turn your life over to the Lord he will never give you more than you can carry.  Thanks again for your interest and I pray you will join in helping spread the Gospel.  Remember it is all about Him.
